POSITION VACANCY – Hospice RN-Casual

Are you an RN looking for meaningful casual work?  Join a team that provides exceptional care at end of life.  Hospice of Douglas County is looking for a caring and compassionate RN to support our on-call team working some evenings and weekends.  Flexible work hours and schedule accommodations are available.

Minimum requirements:  RN licensed in MN.  Preferred qualifications:  1-3 years of experience in hospice or with the geriatric population.  Successful applicant must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug test.  Must have valid MN driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation. This is a Grade 13 MNA/AFSCME Council #65 union position, Step 1 $29.24/hour.  Pay will include a base rate plus time and one-half (1 ½) for any time related to patient care.

POSITION VACANCY – Public Health Nurse-Certified Assessor

Horizon Public Health is seeking applicants for a Full Time Registered Nurse to work as a Certified Assessor in our Alexandria office for PCA clients.  This position is responsible for conducting assessment interviews, determining level of care eligibility for waiver programs, and developing community support plans.

Minimum qualifications include a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing and licensed in MN with at least one year of home and community-based experience.  Exceptions may apply for ADN applicants with at least two years of home and community-based experience. Prior experience in long term care also beneficial. Successful applicant must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug test.  Must have valid MN driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation. This is a Monday-Friday daytime hours, Grade 13 MNA/AFSCME Council #65 union position, Step 1 $29.24/hour.
