CONSULTANT OPPORTUNITY – Communications Consultant/Project Manager

Horizon Public Health is seeking a consultant to provide leadership for the strategic objectives of a recent Minnesota Department of Health Infrastructure grant award related to public health communication capacity and capabilities in a rural setting.  The objectives of this consultancy are to lead an assessment of current communication and reach engagement, develop a communications strategic roadmap and approach to meet communication goals, develop a request for proposals to secure a retainer for communications needs identified, and to provide project management services.

The consultant should have a relevant Bachelor’s degree and background in journalism, communication or marketing.  Experience in communication assessment, project management and health messaging to diverse, rural communities preferred.

A minimum of five (5) years of experience with a proven professional record working in the field of communication.

Excellent communication skills utilizing various types of media.  Excellent writing, collaboration and public speaking skills.  Experience working with various types of media, website development and social media.

*Home Health Aide

Casual hours to include year round, as well as summer only option, and may include weekend rotation. 

Will provide a wide array of personal cares and other supportive services for hospice patients and their families.  Minimum qualifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.  Preferred qualifications: Experience in hospice or with the geriatric population.   Must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug test and have valid MN driver’s license and reliable, insured transportation. This is a Grade 2 MNA/AFSCME Council #65 union position, Monday-Friday daytime hours as well as weekend rotation.
